Rtn.Dr.M.V.Rao was born on 27th June 1949 in Nimmagadda Village, near Challapalli, Divi taluk, Krishna Dt.A.P; India. His parents late sri Satyanarayana and Kamalamba were agriculturists. He completed his primary and secondary education in Challapalli Raja High school. He did his M.B;B.S; in Davangere Medical college, Karnataka in 1974 and later worked in St. John’s Medical college, St Martha's Hosital, Bowring Hospitals in Bangalore. He worked for Iraqi Govt. during 1979-1983. He is a Diabetologist.
Dr Rao established his own Nursing Home in Patamata, Vijayawada by name Vijaya Hospital after coming back from abroad in 1983, which is a 50 beded, multi specialty Hospital with all facilities. He lives happily with his wife Vijaya and two children Rtn.Wr. Dr RajeshM.D. (Emergency Physician) and Dr.Roopa(Dentist), son in law Dr. Hari M.S. (orthopaediatition), daughter in law Rekha (Engineer) working in the same hospital together. He is blsessed with two grand children. Dr MVRao Joined Rotary in the year 2001, RI Dist 3020 and became PHF and now is a Major Donor too. He was the Rotary Central president during 2009-10, TRF coordinator during 2010-11 and Asst. Governor during 2011-12. Inspired by the Rotary’s ‘Service above Self’ slogan and the Rotary fellowship, he fell in love with Rotary, took mankind as his business and actively participated in many service activities. He attended Rotary Institute held at Bangkok during 2010. As corporate social responsibility, he has been conducting weekly seminars every thursday at his hospital premises on Health and Personality development for 10 years, by which more than 15000 people got benefitted. He also conducts free medical camps and distributes medicines. Dr.Rao is the founder president of Walkers Association of Patamata, in Vijayawada, in2001 and 2002. He was the Governor of Walkers International during 2009; Vice president of walkers International, area-2 during 2010; and Chair person for MGFS, during 2011. He attended Walkers good will tour of Sri Lanka in April 2011. Dr. Rao is a MGF and the First Major Donor in WI. During the year- 2010, he visited many walkers clubs in almost all the Districts and distributed cash of rs.7 lakhs, contributed by Ln. Wr .Chigurupati Varaprasad, M.L.C., and helped paying dues and reviving many sick Walker’s clubs. He started 3 new clubs in Dist.202 and did lot of service activities like contributing cash and suing Machines to HIV AIDS affected families. He is Walkers Internatiional President elect for the year 2013. Dr.MVRao is a good sports man from school days, played Tennis for 10 years in the colleges, Shuttle Badminton Champion for 20 years in many club and district level tournaments and now is a regular Walker for the last 10 years. He is the Author of two books namely 10 Habits for Success and Happiness and Total Quality People Management. He is a Personal Development Trainer, Public Speaker, Practicing Diabetologist and Counselor for Psycho-somatic problems. He was awarded the title of “VYAKTITVA VIKASA TAPASVI” by Mayor of Vijayawada. He is the most saught after speaker on "Health and Personal development" in TV channels, Radio, Schools, colleges, clubs and universities. |
